About the event
What is Ostara?
Ostara, also known as the Spring Equinox, is one of the eight nature festivals and it celebrates the renewal of life and the balance of light and dark.
In the Southern Hemisphere, this event falls on September 21st, marking the official start of spring. Named after the Germanic goddess Eostre or Ostara, this festival celebrates fertility, rebirth, and the awakening of nature from winter's slumber.
The Significance of Ostara:
Balance of Day and Night: Ostara occurs when the day and night are approximately equal, symbolizing balance in nature and in life.
Renewal and Growth: It's a time to celebrate the return of life, with plants beginning to bud, animals coming out of hibernation, and the world turning green again.
